Sorso Wine Room
Located at the Scottsdale Quarter, the wine room concept is focused on the 32 bottle self-serve wine dispensers. The challenge was to create an efficient space to contain the program needed in the 2,500 s.f. and design around the existing shell structure and utilities. The operable façade connects patrons to the exterior to maximize the outdoor feel in conjunction with limited patio space. Materials relate to rustic winery’s with a modern touch with use of wine staves as door, image of grape leaf as feature wall and uses of woods and metals while keeping the original shell raw. There are subtle touches that include locker faces on the bar front, number 24 in private dining room and other elements relating to the owners professional baseball career.
